So what did the car wash do about the scratches?
Nothing, they showed my the security footage, and they obviously didn't show up, so there was no way of confirming it was them (even though it 100%
was).

Anyways, they're never getting my business again.

I guess that's just the way she goes.

I finally found myself a grille, and I got everything test fitted now.

Mounting these lights to the core support looks like it'll be really easy. Everyone on the S10 forum was doubting me, calling me a hack for not getting the proper core support.

I haven't been on the S10 forum in ages, but sounds like it hasn't changed much.

The new face looks good.

I got the headlights working, though I still need to figure out the turn signal situation since this truck doesn't have the correct bumper with the built in turn signals.

I think I'll put some trailer marker lamps in the grille.

I also want to see if I can't make some sort of color matched bumper filler for it, since this grille wasn't ever supposed to be with this grille.

This whole situation really makes me want to do the chrome rear bumper swap immediately, it'll complete the look.

Also, some proper full length side molding would make it look great.

Well I'm 3 for 3 when it comes to not ruining the Blazer with hail.

I had myself a pretty successful chase today in southwest Iowa.

I put a total of 850 miles on it driving non stop, and it didn't skip a beat.

I swear to god, I'm never buying a vehicle with a 4L60E again.

So that means that I'm going to have to find somewhere else to mount this radio.
(Since it's getting a stick).

Just picked up the transmission yesterday (400 mile round trip). It's an NV3500 out of a '99 S10 ZR2 complete with t-case.

I still need to find a clutch pedal and a shift boot, but I'm well on my way to having a manual S10 Blazer.

And just like with the suburban's transmission, the 2nd gear syncro is completely annihilated.

I'm not too worried though, it just means that I can't power shift it.

I had to unbolt the front 4 body mounts in order to get it in, man that was an ordeal.
