Lemi Shine is also great for use in wet tumblers to clean dirty brass cases. Makes them look spit-shine new!
That reminds me of a friend of mine. He would put all his shotgun shells in the washing machine and then the drier. The washing machine wasn't too bad but, when he started the drier, I went homeGreat for getting brass back to new then I use the dry tumbler to 'freshen them up' before reloading if they have been sitting for a while.
I worked on garbage trucks, they all leaked all the fluids.
I bet he would **** if he knew I would run diesel and Cascade instead of coolant to clean the water jackets after an oil cooler failure.
Have you ever gone by the handle 'Tempted' on any forum? Here we go
Yep, thats how I found out about it too. Great for getting brass back to new then I use the dry tumbler to 'freshen them up' before reloading if they have been sitting for a while.
Jakes Transmissions and FD Performance.. that both build A LOT of very high performance 4L80 transmissions recommends you run the JD Hy Gard low viscosity fluid for the all out race applications. I think the problem is that people don't realize that there is a difference between LOW VISCOSITY Hy Gard and regular Hy Gard fluid. They heard from a guy that heard from a guy that the fast guys are using Hygard, so it must be good. Regular Hy Gard is a 30 weight oil equivalent.. which is WAY too much for a GM trans. Low viscosity is pretty close to 10 weight, which is about what most trans fluids are at. I don't think I would touch it for a daily driver or regular trans, but when you are buying a $5000 full race transmission and your builder says run this... and it works great for YEARS of heavy beating... I'd be more inclined to trust that guy over someone that says they "have build about 2 dozen 4L60's and all the come backs early on where the installers fault".I've never heard of people running hydraulic fluid other than ATF in automatics, but I suppose it happens in cases where someone is already buying it in bulk.
The summer time was nice, when all the rice started crawling out and raining on your face while changing a rear brake chamber.I can only imagine...
