    Gmt400 Escalade

Hey, Bob! I was at the junkyard the other day and came across these in the glovebox of a 2000 Escalade and immediately thought of you! I was wondering if you wanted them, i'll mail them to you for free if you're interested! The Gold Key package sure does sound cool no matter how "gimmicky" it...

    GMT400 Tahoe Z71

I've never been able to find a reputable figure. I emailed GM years ago asking and they were not able to give me any numbers. Somewhere in some ancient paperwork has production numbers, hopefully they will be uncovered/revealed soon.

    GMT400 Tahoe Z71

Nice! The paint looks to be in excellent condition. I've never been to the UK, but I certainly would not expect to find a Z71 tahoe there. Surely those are uncommon there too?

    GMT400 Tahoe Z71

Here it is in all it's Glory. It has been in some extreme environments and never missed a beat. There's days where it starts up at 5-6am, and doesn't turn off until 10-11pm at night. It has conquered the beaches of Eastern NC on the hottest days of the year lugging through deep sand. It has...

    GMT400 Tahoe Z71

This is a 2000 Chevy Sales book that lists the base price and options pricing. It shows the Z71 being $39,544.000 as the base price. I believe the optional ZM9 package was ~$1500.

Here is an Advertisement for the Z71, If you look closely you can see it has different Hubcaps and the center bars on the grill guard seems to be pointed differently. Strange....

    GMT400 Tahoe Z71

Inspired by Cadillac Bob's thread, and ever-so jealous of his Escalade.... I decided to make this thread for myself and others alike of the slightly less luxurious though just as uncommon Tahoe Z71. This thread will (hopefully) be filled with Z71 appreciation and knowledge and serve as a Z71...

Bob I hate to hear this happened to you. Hope you find some sort of resolve.

    Very odd electrical issues

I assume that BCM isn’t easy to add to my Z71 Tahoe? I would love to have delayed headlights, etc

just looked it up on ebay, they want $400-600 lol. Did the camaros use the same Radio as the gmt400s?

Appears the 12 disc changer came in Corvettes and Camaros as well. Looks to be made by Pioneer. Just something else to add to the long want list for the Junkyard. I wish we could find an example in a tahoe/suburban. Very curious where they mounted it.

    Calling all Escalade/Denali experts!

I don't know but we need answers. I want that 12 disc CD changer lol. Some of the GM cars had a CD changer in the trunk, the only spot I can really think to put the changer is under the rear seat. I think i'll end up putting mine under the rear passenger seat, but i don't know where i'll install...

I found this in my 1999 Tahoe brochure. The 12 disc CD changer was a dealer installed option…. WHERE DID IT GO??? Does ANYONE have one of these dealer installed changers????

    Calling all Escalade/Denali experts!

Yeah I love the Escalade console and was close to swapping one in years ago, but I really want to keep the original console even though it’s a terrible design. One of the worst console designs I’ve ever seen… Thinking about mounting the CD changer under the seat, then again I may just scrap the...

    2000 Z71 seat track loose

Both bucket seats have a lot of rocking play, so I looked under the driver seat and saw the tracks moving a lot. It appears to be a bushing or some sort of plastic block that has broken. Has anyone experienced this and know of a fix?

    Calling all Escalade/Denali experts!

Tragic news…. The CD changer will not fit in my console. It’s about 3/8” too tall. I wonder if I could notch out the liner and have the changer recessed some, but at that point is it even worth the trouble. Did every 95-00 OBS have the storage compartment attached to the console lid...

    Gmt400 Escalade

Sand driving is fun! My Z71 Tahoe does excellent on the beaches here in NC. I actually prefer it over my Jeep rubicon on the beach. I air down to 15 psi and float. Beach driving will really work out the cooling system though, especially if it’s a warmer day. I’ve seen several vehicles overheat...

Driver side heated night shifting mirror glass

I was under the impression the auto dimming/heated mirrors were pretty common, but I guess not? My 2000 Z71 has them, assuming it came standard with them. Did the trucks and suburbans have them…?
