Hate to throw these away, somebody can use them. Figure shipping cost on probably 10 pounds and you can have them. 2.5 wide x 5 long x tapered height, w/ 9/16 pin. Fit a lot of applications. Message me with particulars. Gordon.
Scott, check post number 270 in this thread. These are the two talked about, yea old, but very helpful. These were before 0411’s, 50 different cam grinds, and big injectors.
I was surprised by the added ride height. I got all new bolts and u-bolts from them too, then had to remove the blocks and buy shorter u-bolts. Shipping cost was pretty steep. They are going to weigh about 150# each.
I just replaced the factory 5/1 leaf springs rated at 2200# with their 5/1 pack rated at 3000#. That raised the rear of the truck 3” and ride is much stiffer. Had to remove the lift blocks as it extended the shocks too much and to get back level. Haven’t towed the camper yet to assess...
mine is a ‘97 with the nv4500. I had read about it being a pain to bleed, but when I installed a new slave, I just cracked the valve open and it gravity bled from the master just fine.
when you replaced the FPR, did you get both of the old o-rings out of the housing and put both new ones on the new FPR? the little one is sometimes left behind when replaced or missed on installation.
I used a melling standard volume. It is 70 at cold and 35 warm, based on the oem gauge in the dash. I have two of the oiler plugs behind the cam gear. 10-30 oil. the dizzy gear does not get direct oiling, so I cut a .030 slot on the bottom of the dizzy housing to direct some oil to the...
so, I replaced the RS5000 shocks with 100k+ miles with RS9000, good results. going to replace the 5+1 leaf springs with 7+1 3300# springs from General Spring soon. pulled the air lift bags, they were great for level roads, but bound up in the back country and kept breaking the air line nipples.
