    Mechanical Water Temp Gauge

I think, model, year and engine would be more appropriate for this conversation.

What exactly is your truck? Some have a second sensor for an auxiliary fan.

    Dorman HD front end parts

I've seen the ball joints listed on Rockauto. It looks like they're trying to market a competitor to the Mevotech TTX parts. They might be good, but it's Dorman, so why bother if there is something else available.

Some pages not completely loading for me.

I deleted cookies for the site, and so far, I haven't had the issue again.

Some pages not completely loading for me.

I typically go to "new posts" and then open each thread, that interests me, in a new tab. Over the last few days, I've gotten several threads that are not opening correctly, and won't correct themselves with re-loading, or copying the URL into a new tab. I'm not sure if this is the forum doing...

    Undercarriage Prep?

I wonder if some of it is actually old undercoating? The only time I've had grease/oil thick enough to not be effectively removed with a pressure washer, was on a ex-municipal truck with a Detroit Diesel. Oven cleaner could be used in the very heavy spots.... keep it out of your eyes and off...

    Storage box bolt size

I didn't have to drill any holes when I installed a box in my 99, out of a 96. I have the rectangular charcoal canister.

    air line going to shocks

Someone installed aftermarket air-shocks. They used to be really popular.

    Gabriel ltv shocks

It's a Buick small block, but yes it's externally larger than a Chevy small block. The Chevy is the smallest, but I think it's actually heavier.

    Gabriel ltv shocks

It's a 69 LeSabre 4 door with a 350 4bbl and Super Turbine 400 (th400). It's not really roadworthy at the moment but I'm hoping it will be this summer.

    Das ****** Schnitzel

Why such a large transmission cooler? Good job on fighting the rust monster. Scrolling up, it looks like this is a 1.8T. I might look at a Audi TT with that engine.

    Will this swap work?

I would use a mechanical clutch fan. Getting an electric fan to work well, is a project in itself, from what I've read over the years.

    VIN Decoder

My uncle had a stove that had a glass panel with a large GM logo on it. Unfortunately, it got broken while in storage. The AC compressor from my 69 LeSabre, is an original Frigidaire. I've never seen it work, Though. The front of the clutch had been removed by the time I bought it. I just...

    Power window nose diving

I've got no window experience with the GMT-400, but I've got a little elsewhere. Make sure the run-channels (the pieces the glass edges slide in) are in the correct spots.... not too high/low/twisted. Also make sure the glass is fully seated/latched/attached to the window regulator. Silicone...

    Rotors and brakes opinions

Raybestos has coated rotors, but the R-line isn't coated, unless that's available now.... I bought these rotors several years ago, and at that time they were plain iron. Plain iron isn't terrible, as that's been the standard for decades. It's just that the coating keeps them looking nice for...
