    I wonder if some of it is actually old undercoating? The only time I've had grease/oil thick enough to not be effectively removed with a pressure washer, was on a ex-municipal truck with a Detroit Diesel. Oven cleaner could be used in the very heavy spots.... keep it out of your eyes and off...

    It's a Buick small block, but yes it's externally larger than a Chevy small block. The Chevy is the smallest, but I think it's actually heavier.

    I would use a mechanical clutch fan. Getting an electric fan to work well, is a project in itself, from what I've read over the years.

    If I pull my fuse the rear brakes tend to lock up easily. I guess if it's completely removed, and a stand alone proportioning valve is installed, that problem might go away. I ran without the fuse, for awhile, when I had a front sensor going bad. The ABS was activating during regular braking.
