Truck ran fine a day ago but now when I start it doesn’t even keep a good charge, it’s all over the place

So I was just about to leave and I started the truck, took a little bit longer than usual, but at least it started but my volts were very low, and kept surging along with rpm. I haven’t installed anything since it ran last. It’s like something’s draining the charge really quick while running. And I tried taking off just for it to die every time.

Check all your connections first. Could be something corroded or loose.

Then verify voltage output on the alternator with a good multimeter.

Welcome to your first post at the forum.

Hopefully you will soon learn to post truck info each time.

Yes, test/check all connections and test the alternator. It has to charge correctly for the fuel injection system. You may have a diode problem, that caused a drain while parked.
