Not getting fuel from tank

I have a 91 C1500 that we "just installed a carbed 350" with a mechanical fuel pump.

If the OP would post some more info on the engine and its components, I am sure that a resolution could be achieved.

I took it as the engine was setup for carb,maybe an older engine?
