OK all, I'm swaping a 4.8l w/turbo 400 into a 89 gmc sierra that came with a 6.2l diesel. So it has hydroboost brakes and thus has a ps pump with extra hose attachments for the brakes. I installed it onto the engine in the truck but the pulley for the powersteering pump sticks 1/4" to far foward. So here's the question, Is there a pulley that fits the pump that has a quarter inch more offset?

If you have the pump from the 4.8, just put it in the hydroboost housing, with the valves from the hydroboost, or just get the pulley install tool and push the pulley on a little further, its just a press fit.

That engine bay is a mess, just sayin.

Best guess is something is off on that aftermarket bracket setup. Possibly for the wrong crank spacing. If the bracket checks out, grab a 2500/3500 6.0L truck pump at your local treasure yard. The 6.2L diesel pump and pulley is the same setup as any other GM truck hence my doubt it is the pump or pulley causing the issue rather the bracket.

GM had 3 different spacing lengths on the ls stuff and that setup looks more like the car spacing
