Info on stock cab light set ups

Well I have finally completed my ext cab to crew cab short bed swap. The cab is from a 1997 K3500 GMC SLE, I used my dash wiring and convenience center from my 1996 k1500 Chevy. Everything works great so far but my 1996 cab didn’t come with cab lights and the 1997 cab does have factory cab lights. Just wondering if anyone knows if the wires are pinned into the convenience center or if they run off or through a switch. Just trying to figure out how to make them work. Thanks for any help!

Just tap into the headlight wiring. Not sure where the factory ones tap into.

It’s tapped into the convenience center, but you may find it easier to tap into the brown tail light/park light wire before it runs into convenience center
