I just did a full frame off swap on my 89 Chevy k1500 305 5speed runs great and everything shifts. Except for when it comes to starting it and getting it to idle. I have to sit there and hold on the gas so it won’t die then after 3-5 minutes of me pressing on the gas it will idle on its own. Which I would have no problem with but if it stalls or I stop to go into the store it does the same thing and I’m kind of stumped on where to start I did take out and clean the IAC. But it’s still doing it

Have you tested the IAC valve to see if it is working correctly?
You could purchase a new one and if it doesn't fix the issue, return it.
Getting voltage to the IAC?
Some ideas.
