These didn't eat holes in the cases like the GMT800 Duramax ones would. It was the only upgrade I could find at the time. I did that, shift fork pads, and a 32 spline input/bearing so it would play nice with my 4L80 swap.

The shop had it done in a day which kinda shocked me, they did tell me they don’t see these 243cs often anymore and didn’t think that snap ring kit was available anymore. So no biggy, I have a 3 year warranty and I doubt it will have any issues with the mild abuse I’ll give it.

Finally got around to putting new transfer case in, and man that was more of a PITA then expected. I didn’t realize how little room there was to get the 6 bolts that mount it to the trans off. Ratcheting wrench was pretty much the only way I could find. But it’s done! I don’t think it fixed the noise tho, will have to go on a longer stretch of road to get above 45mph.

If it’s not fixed which I’m really thinking it’s not it must be the rear end I just had rebuilt. I’ll take it to the guy and see what he says.
