Cargo lamp stays on

Hey everyone, my trucks cargo lamp hasnt worked since i bought the truck so today i tore it apart and found the plug for the light itself was all wrong so i rewired it to where it should be. The only issue im having is my cargo light has constant power until i open the door, i used a power probe on the trucks side of the plug to make sure of my problem, im no electrician so idk whats wrong with it, but every other light turns off except for the cargo light until the door is opened
