Rebuilding rear for a 89 .
Ordered new Eaton style diff from rigid axle 8.5 ring gear 28 spline.
Discovered a damage axle .
Donor axles came from a 1992 c1500.
Found one was damaged also . Decided to order new axles
Measured axle (32”). Can not find a 32” axle with 28 spline for 8.5
Axle tube # : KZUK 244 1
Housing #s : 15555679

My guess is that you're mixing 2wd and 4wd parts. You'll need to better explain what you're trying to do before anyone can offer some real help.

From all the previous discussions on the 10-bolt axle, I've read, it's usually suggested to upgrade to a 14-bolt semi-floating axle.

Make, model, year, yes it makes difference. Twenty feet away they all look the same. Open the doors and hood there all different.
