Alternator question

My truck currently has the 105 amp alt on it. I have been thinking when it goes bad about upgrading to a 120 or bigger amp alt. Are the the brackets the same for the 2 different alts? I do know they take different belts if I remember right. If they are different does anyone know where I can get a higher amp alt that will bolt in place of my OE one.

Go to an auto parts store and they should be able to get you one. If there's any doubt, have them bring out a direct replacement unit to compare side-by-side.
