1990 gmc single cab came with a bench seat that original owner took out and replaced with some bucket seats. I’m replacing with a 60/40 bench seat that came from another single cab. Do I just need to drill holes for the middle part of the seat so it can bolt up? Or is there more to it?

Should be that simple. Get the buckets out, set the 60/40 in, see what holes align, drill new as necessary, make sure they are anchored well underneath, install the middle belt, then your girl can ride beside you. Fun times.
