    I routed my hot wire from the s terminal to the b terminal. Problem is, when my inexperienced self hooked it up to the s terminal I blew something so now I have zero power. I pulled the 30 amp, 12v battery fuse and it looks okay. Multimeter shows zero ohms so now what. should have went to school.

    I put the original safety switch back in. For whatever dumb reason, it looks like it has more pressure on the clutch lever compared to the new part which looks identical. Now I'm moving my hot wire from the s terminal to the b terminal.

    Again, no idea why the old starter was wired this way and worked well until didn't. I found a wiring diagram and looks like the 10 gauge wire should be from the s terminal to a fusible link.
