I had a '93 TBI and have had 2 '98 Vortecs. On the '98s I did the MPFI upgrade and metal carrier intake gasket upgrades and no problems since. That said, there seems to be more room under the hood with the TBI and while the Vortec is rated for 45 more HP, the TBI really does just as well towing...
