    98 K2500 suspension

What’s wrong with Rough Country? They are decent lifts. Summit used to sell individual boxes but not sure if they still do. Better off just getting a complete kit.

    Squarebody leaf swap

1/2 is 52" center pin. Some 1/2, 3/4 an 1 tons use 56", offset pin. From front hanger to pin is 26" for both. GMT-400 use 64" pin is centered.

    SAS discussion on alternative axles

ORD makes top notch stuff, modifying it will pretty much be cutting them up n starting over. It's tight to begin with on the rear hangers, it's even worse with the wider perch width. WFO makes the kit to use the coils, but it ain't cheap. I guess maybe it an even difference, early stuff is semi...

Engine advice—How screwed am I (pics)

Id just get a new motor. Getting a motor hot can warp things, and the necessary machining could easily be the cost of a new(er) motor. Be cheaper n easier in the long run.....

ISO 1997 5.7 LONG TUBE HEADERS

I have a set of long tube PaceSetters I bought local off marketplace. When I SAS my Yukon, Im not sure they will work. Plus I might swap the extra 454 I have into it....but, that will be a couple years at this rate...

    88 square body

IIRC the ECM is a 7747. But the harness between the same body styles are very similar. It's been a while, but think the TPS and IAC plugs are different. But since you have both, can cut the plugs n transfer em over. But I'd think the engine side of the harness is the same.....but who knows.

    1998 push 3 button 1500 stuck in 4low.

There are really only 2 things that can go bad, the buttons or the motor on the t-case. I'd take the motor off the t-case, and while its off but the key in the on position, cycle the buttons and see if you hear anything. Also try to manually change gears in t-case, just to verify the case is...

    1996 gmc yukon 4x4 8 lug axles

Cool build. I wanted to do this years ago, never could get a straight answer how to do it. I did it (well eventually will) the easy way and just SAS'd it with 8 lugs...

    Speed limiter on '91 454 SS ?

My old 89 with the TBI 406 would bury the speedo and then go back around to 45. Well over the 100pmh “limit”

Synchro NP205 Transfer Twin Stick Mod???

If the drivetrain is all original, then its not a synchro. As already mentioned, every 1980 4wd got a 205. Auto hubs didn't come out till 81 IIRC, and that is when the synchro 205 came out. Take a pic of the back aluminum cover. Make sure it's clean so we can see lol..

TBI350 to L31 swap. I'm told close to impossible.

I almost bought a 92 Blazer that was SAS'd, had a Vortec 350, but was auto 4L80. He took the entire dash, wiring, ECM, engine and trans n swapped it in. Dash n door panels didn't match, but looking back now wouldn't be a big deal.

Frame damage or design? 92K1500 Long bed

Trailer hitch or beefy bumper does just as good. The X shaped crossmember is for the spare tire crank thingy.....

Frame damage or design? 92K1500 Long bed

i've never notice that!! But i'd say it's OK. Other than lack of crossmembers, the spring hanger is still there, and the spring is still bolted to the axle, so, it aint going anywhere.

What is it gonna be? A crew cab short bed, or something custom? CCSB's have a 2 piece d/s, I can measure mine if needed.

7.4 swap c1500 tight on the passenger side

The drivetrain in these trucks are shifted to the pass side, wanna say couple inches but not 100%. They did this to tuck everything in closer for better fitment for the front diff being so close to the engine and high in the frame.
