Escalade brake make noise and vibrate when taking sharp turns

Unwanted ABS activation at slow speeds. 4 wheel ABS GM trucks are notorious for this. Unplug your ABS fuse and go for a drive.

    Speedo recalibration

Both my parents were math teachers. It sounds like your new wheels are actually 4" larger than the OE wheels. Oh, you meant the tires! Got it. @62barsoom is right. PCM needs to be programmed to the tires' new overall height. ...words meaning things and stuff.

    Speedo recalibration

2" smaller wheels? How on Earth did you find 14" 8-lug wheels?

What is this fuse for? comes off of the positive terminal and has a wire going to the alternator.

It is used in case the battery cable (that crosses over the fan shroud) gets cut/shorted/grounded etc. By the way, that underhood pic looks suspiciously like my Yukon Denali: right down to the 140 amp alternator!

    HOLY TOLEDO BATMAN

The Yukon/Tahoe rear wheel well cuts into the rear doors. This one doesnt, it's a 'Burban.

1992 Chevrolet K1500 5 speed Manual, front drive shaft replacement help (Very new topic for me) What should I know?

Im pretty sure there's only 2 types. My '88 GMC, my '89 Chevy, both are 1500s, both are NP241 t-case, both "lever on the floor", use a bolt on flange to attach the driveshaft to the t-case, and a slip yoke located at the front joint at the diff. My '00 Yukon Denali, an auto NP246, my former...

Headlight turn on without turning on light switch

You can't. It's not wired that way and never will be. DRLs lit, green light lit. DRLs off, green light off.

Headlight turn on without turning on light switch

As stated, that is not an "issue". It's an OE designed system that is factory installed, and is now in proper working order. Pressing the parking (correctly spelled) B R A K E pedal one click is also an OE designed "lamp defeat" feature. Now, when you say the low beams come on, do the front...

    Driver side battery box

I think @HotWheelsBurban meant to say that the battery tray was made of plastic, not the inner fenders.

    Compatible chassis with 89 C3500

That is a 2wd DRW (dual rear wheel) Chassis Cab frame that someone slapped on SRW wheels. It is incompatible with your pickup bed. It also appears to be a single cab. Skip.

Can 1996 Tahoe hood swap from suburban?

    Psst, except for the Denali/Escalade

    motor mounts 98 k1500

So the engine has been removed, huh? Well, theres no video needed. Just look at the frame, where the mounts are... you should see 3 bolt heads. Find the appropriate size socket and, with a wrench of some kind (pneumatic is preferred) turn them counter clockwise. You might need to put a 2nd...

    Compatible chassis with 89 C3500

Dual tanks were ONLY on chassis cabs Saddle tanks were ONLY on Square Body trucks Can not easily put a bed on a chassis cab truck without major fab. Sounds like none of the above. I don't know what 18.7 and 19.7 mean, our trucks were measured by wheelbase in inches. Oh, 1 ton pickups ONLY had...

    U bolt plates

That's because the 14 bolt uses a larger diameter axle tube than the 10 bolt. I performed the same swap on my Yukon last summer, fortunately I had the axle saddles from the 2500LD the axle came from.

    Front dif?

No. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is in the t-case. You can replace the VSSB (vehicle speed sensor buffer) with a programmable one. I did that with my '95 C2500 when I put on 315/75s and 4.88 rear gears. It's located under the ECM, which is behind and above the glove box. The one I bought...

    wheels for 454 ss tires

Yes, equivalent to a 235 70 15, a little shorter than the 235 75 15 on the rest of the 2wd 1500 trucks. And if 75s fit, 70s will too, thus making 275 60s a go in my book!

Correct me if I'm wrong, GM does not specify synthetic lube for the 8.25 front diff?

    Front dif?

Number and type of friction and steels in the clutch packs, shift points and pressure modulation (internal coil springs) in the valvebody when they build the valve body to your vehicle setup, i.e. OE stock vs modified with different tire sizes(axle gears)

What does this wire connector go to?

That is for 4x4. It sends power to the t-case. GM used a "basic" harness with superfluous connectors on these trucks. I have the same unused plug on my '95 C2500, whereas both my '88 and '89 K1500s have the extension harness traveling above the tranny, to the NV241 on each truck.

    Traction aid

Axle under the leaf spring always has the tendacy to wrap on hard acceleration. Axle above not so much. I was at a drag strip where a full size truck had a set of 3" lift springs and an axle flip kit installed. Even with 500+ hp there was very little leaf oscillation.
