    The temp sender for the gauge is in the drivers side head, and the temp sender for the ecm is in the intake, I would also suggest using a live data scanner to see if the ecm's temp is reading close to the same temp.

    Yes you are correct, 92 would still be a 700R4, but either way it will not last behind a diesel.

    The 2 link doesn't suffer from a lack of strength, it doesn't allow the axle to articulate while going over uneven surfaces and also pinion angle really suffers, since it needs to be set at ride height and stays fixed, any deviation from ride height and the pinion angle is terrible.

    Yes that would work, or you could flip the lock 180 degrees and make a tab the bolts to the bed side and then the lock tab would face the cab when locked or to the right when unlocked, I am trying to envision exactly what your locks look like on that set up and I am not sure.

    Yes as above SBC's have adjustable valves and there is no torque number.
