    I should have also stated that the dash was stock when it was bought from me, I realized after that my post sounded like I sold it to him already painted. I don't know a thing about it mechanically, I never looked at any of that. What kind of issues are you having?

    Not to hijack your thread but the suspension directly swaps over, but when I do it, I change it all including the control arms and 1/2 ton rear end with leaves and 1/2 ton spring hangers.

    Either an NV 4500 that isn't the low range version with granny low first, or a built 4L80E, I like my 80 and the way it doesn't loose as much speed on the 1-2 shift like a 60 does since the gear ratios are closer together.

    As I am sure you already know, the diesel converter has a lower stall speed than the gas engine and the 05 with an LS motor would have a higher stall than the gas 95 would have had, I would personally use the gas 05 converter.

    You need to use a break in oil for the first 500 miles, it needs to be non detergent straight 30 weight oil.
