I want to get these from LMC but the years say it's 94-98 compatable. I have seen that most of the 90's are interchangeable for the lights so long as you match the style is that correct?

I got my Grandfathers truck last year and I am finally working on making it dailyable after my other car is on it's last leg. I am very green to what will work with what years and I have had some friends mention to me that a lot of the 90's has interchangable lights.
Any thoughts would be amazing thanks yall!

If you compare the 88-93 and 94-98 style park lights, you'll notice the 88-93 have a slight curve to them as well as the profile juts out a little more at the top than the bottom, this is to match the shape of the grille. They also poke out a bit from the grille. The 94-98 park lights on the other hand are essentially flat. They will fit an 88-93 grille and for the most part look "OK" but not a perfect fit. What stands out the most is that they look angled inward at the top since they don't have that same sloped profile.

Here's my '93 with 94-98 style park lights, if you look carefully you'll see what I mean about the slope. I don't think I would (personally) intentionally mix the styles like this, but I was planning to swap to the 94-98 grille, and needed lights, so I went ahead and got these.

And how the same lights fit in the correct grille:

Ahh ok, I will prolly keep them for now, kinda annoying when searching on LMC's website with my truck selected those lights for the 94-98 still show up in the listings. Thank you for the comparison!

They show because they are interchangeable. If unsure, call LMC at 800-562-8782. I did all the lights on my girl's 1990 K2500 and called a couple times about lights and side moldings and and and, they were always helpful.

I will say this about LMC though, for any VETS here. You can sign up for a military discount and they claim to have one but it is not applicable to ALL parts. I was in the process of ordering more parts for my girl's truck and it turned out that the 4 items/components that I had in my CART were not eligible for any available military discounts. I found that was very convenient for their bottom line. I ended up negotiating better $ deals for the parts/components at ebay.
