nothing against all the holley people but other then a double pumper or dual fuel inlet I think this is the only holley I would buy they use to have these in 470 670 and 770 now it seem they have th 670 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-90670

maybe just a little bit but in all seriousness my #1 for carb is tied between q-jet and t-quad 2nd is edelbrok 3rd is holley as much as I like tbi it seems like a glorified electric carb

TBI is a glorified electric carburetor with much better fuel control and feedback. The only thing better than one TBI for me would be three on the same manifold. There is something sexy about three deuces sitting on top of a motor.
How does TBI meter? If it is as multi-point injection systems, how does it avoid starving cylinders during the 'off' period? Or, does it provide continual flow and meter by varying fuel pressure - as per Bosch K-Jetronic?

No, TBI has a constant pressure FPR and is a wet intake system so the intake is never completely dry in the running state. It's not really continual flow as the injectors pulse in both asynchronous and synchronous modes as the ECM demands. Like 99xcss4 said it's a glorified carb. It meters by taking sensor data and modulating injector pulse width to feed the engine with fuel and air as needed.
I never had my hands on one of those Jetronic systems but I did have the unfortunate opportunity to work on its earlier version, the fully mechanical CIS system in a VW Rabbit. I got the thing back up and running once I figured out the thermal regulator had gone bad but just never really got it dialed in. After F'in with it a couple days I sent it down the road!
