Code 32 on my 1994 Suburban 5.7L.
I am also interested in knowing how well the smaller pin-hole EGR valve does. I have a 94 C2500 5.7 -and have been getting random Code 32's but only seems to show up when if dragging 5th gear. Haven't had any issues with stumbling --seems to be running good. CEL always resets on the next startup.

I recently had that problem on mine and it was the EGR valve stem binding when it got warm. Tried holding the valve open with a vacuum tester and polishing the stem with 600 grit and that only worked for about a month. Wound up buying a new EGR valve with the correct orifice and no more CEL.
I recommend replacing the EGR with the same orifice that it came with.

It's the EG10099, purchased from NAPA. They even picture it on their website with the pinhole fitting, but it's definitely not the same one they sold me. Since the original valve had a bad diaphragm, I cut the fitting off it and put it in the vacuum line temporarily and the engine hesitation is gone.

The AC Delco 214-5073 came in today and it has the pinhole fitting.

If that picture with the large vacuum fitting is Delphi EG10099 then they have clearly redesigned the part or chosen a different part to stamp that number on and have it allegedly fit a wider application list. The original Delphi EG10099 I used to buy several years ago has the tiny pinhole fitting, no telling what else might be different about it.

Sad that the part changed, and I wondered if you'd tried chopping off the connection to stick in the vacuum line - thanks for mentioning that you did, and it worked. Also thanks for current info that the AC Delco part is still correct. Have you installed/tested it yet?
