Personal experience here, aftermarket EFI is overhyped GARBAGE and after a few years you can no longer get replacement parts for the systems, forcing an $$$$ upgrade to a newer system. I have no issue running an aftermarket intake, throttle body and fuel rails. I have an issue with the aftermarket ECMs and harness stuff.For a 500+ Hp I would be looking at a complete EFI replacement by Holley.
I have a Proflow 4 system I am in the middle of replacing the brains of with a GM P59 PCM. The final straw on that PF4 ECM was the stupid thing stalled multiple times the other day with the engine cold at 1,000 rpm high idle when the ac clutch kicked in. It also has always had a tendency to stall shifting to reverse.
I would use a GM P01 or P59 over anything aftermarlet.
