Hi there. I'm new to this forum and don't know how to make a new post or thread I hope you don't mind me asking a question on yours..
I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado K1500 4x4 pickup, power window, power locks ect.
How do I know if my truck came with and has a remote or key fob available for it? Can someone please tell me where to look for a code and what codes I'm looking for? And where the power lock/key fob module would be if there is one?
I appreciate any information that you can help me with.

So a quick check would be in your glove box. There's a sticker that has a bunch of RPO codes that are all 3 letters or numbers long. You'll look for RPO code AU0.

How do you know if your truck originally had keyless entry?
Just like the title says, I'm wondering how I would know if my Tahoe originally came with keyless entry. When I bought the truck, I only got 1 key and it was a copy of the original. Its an LT according to the badge on the C pillar if that helps. It has leather seats, electric windows, locks...
