I almost have my old motor out, just need to know what these sensors are, which im pretty sure I do.

One sensor with a single wire under the passenger side exhaust manifold, Knock sensor?

One just above the drivers side manifold, temp sensor for ECM? I think the sensor on top next to the thermostat housing is the temp sensor for the gauge.

Sensor on back of engine coming off a 90 degree fitting, oil pressure?

Truck is 94' Yukon, TBI.

Also on a side note, whats with the braces going to the torque converter cover? Doesnt seem like they would do much just going to that relatively thin cover? And they are a pain in the ass.

Probably, is it coming out at or near the starter wire?

Close, it's the other way around.

Yep, it s/b a 3-wire sensor on a 94. One is for the gauge and 2 are for the Fuel Pump Relay bypass.

Yeah they are....
But I'm sure there is some kind of physics and engineering behind it... there really isn't any support from the motor to the transmission apart from the bolts... and even the transmission mount is way back in it's tail on my truck...that mating point is a bunch of weight for sure.... I definitely feel better with them even if I'd rather change out 6 clothes dryer vent hoses instead of messing with them.....

They are going back on for sure, just dont like it. I just loosened them on the motor end and was able to get the cover off.

Now im wondering what the sensor right at the base of the distributor is?

Also wondering what the best way to get the motor mounts off is, just pull the long bolt going through it?

Not the ICM, im well aware of that damn thing.

Its coming out of the intake right next to where the distributor plugs into the top of the motor.
