Yup, I know exactly where that's at. So, I guess we are not very far apart. I'd love to know how you have such pristine vehicles for being in the worst part of the rust belt.
Where are you from? Like I said, the black one was never driven in the winter. I wouldn’t say the other two are pristine, I just know how to take pictures to make them look good. :Big Laugh: The red one already had rockers, cab corners, and the bed patched. The flares were put on to cover the rust on the front fenders. I got a nicer bed for it that had very little rust, but some damage that I’m working on. The pewter one actually looked really nice when we got it in 2019. It came from Delaware originally, and only had 88,000 miles on it and no visible rust, other than one cab corner was packed with bondo. After a few winters here it started falling apart quick. If you look close you can see that the rockers and cab corners are in primer. We had to put them in to get it through inspection, they still need to be finished. The flares are covering most of the rust on the fenders and bed for now, but in the next year or two they will need attention too. It also needs a drivers door and tailgate.
Nice collection of trucks, welcome to the forum, from Houston, Texas. I especially dig the Pewter Metallic 8 lugger, looks like a combination of my two. My Burb is Pewter Metallic, and my crew cab is Rawhide Metallic (basically gold).
Thanks. I have come to the conclusion that that is the best color you can get. I live on a dirt road, and even when that truck is filthy, it still looks clean. My black one gets dirty just looking at it.

Yep. We've had a black Burb and a white one, both get dirty three seconds after washing. The black one was my dad's favorite, and he was really picky about it being clean. Even if you don't drive on dirt roads, vehicles still get dirty quickly in the city. It is either pouring rain, or drought, and often dusty. I found out , on a VIN number report, that 1 in 3 '99 Suburbans were painted Pewter Metallic.

Welcome from Stoney Creek, love the trucks. I haven't seen one in my area in the last two years.
Wow....I see them daily in the city I work at, and on the way home on the weekends, I play a game and try to count how many OBS's I see on the highway. Usually 10-12 on average during a 1hr drive.

Edit.... just saw your from Ontario. Makes sense that you don't see many!!!! They all rusted back into the earth!!! Lol

Just now realizing that question was directed toward me.

Well, without just coming out saying the name of the city (right?, @Schurkey), I'm a few miles away from the place named after a percussion instrument.
I know right where your talking about, that’s not far at all.

These trucks are all over here. I never counted, but I probably see between 10-20 everyday. Seems like more of these then Fords of the same era. Stuff rots bad here, but these trucks don’t seem as bad as the ones after them. In the almost 15 years I have been hanging around my dad’s body shop, I can think of 5 GMT400s that we have fixed rust on, one of which was ours. It seems like almost every month we are doing at least one GMT800 or 900.

Hi guys. I made an account here a while ago, but just lurked, never posted. I have a question about the AC on my truck that I will post in the proper section. My name is Nick. I have a 1994 Chevy C1500 and a 2002 Silverado 1500 (I know it’s not a GMT400), and my dad has a 1999 GMC K2500 that I also drive a lot. The 99 was mainly bought for a plow truck. That was right around the time I got my license, so I stared driving that. Then when my grandfather stopped driving, I got his truck, the 02. I drove that for a few months until a guy pulled out in front of me and I hit him. I started fixing it, then the 94 came up for sale and I bought it to “replace” the 02. Then I decided to keep the 02, that is currently a work in progress. My dad owns a body shop, and I work for him. The 94 belonged to one of our customers, it was his baby, he took really good care of it. We have been working on it since it was new. We also know the mechanic who took care of it. He passed away, and his wife gave us first pick on it, so I bought it. I have always loved this truck since the first time I saw it, never thought I would own it. This is probably one of the cleanest 30 year old trucks in NE PA. It is pretty much rust free, he never drove it in the winter, and I don’t either. My dad and grandpa painted the whole thing around 2010. The PO had a new engine put in at 86,000 miles. Nothing really wrong with the original, he just wanted a new one. It had 91k when I got it, and it just hit 100k.

I do see lots of ECSB in the country where I usually hang out, too many people in my area now much more crime going on. I was talking about RCSB's as I've only seen one 454 SS this year.
