Hey there, I just picked up a 92 GMC k1500 305 auto. I’ve been looking for one for quite a while, most of the trucks of this age around here are completely rotten so I had to travel 20hrs round trip to bring this one home. It’s in pretty decent condition, one repaint around 2010 and needs a drivers cab corner it’s a small hole, the rest of the truck is pretty solid. Plans are to clean it up, swap out the leaky 305 for a 350 and just get it roadworthy and reliable. I think it’s been parked for some time everything is leaking and it had moss growing in every crack and crevice. If anyone is in southern Alberta and has a TBI 350 core I am interested.

Welcome from just north of Edmonton.
Nice truck, where did you pick it up from that it was a 20 hour drive???
If I had gotten to my LS swap by now there would be a 350 sitting on my garage floor. But for now it's still tucked under the hood of my 91.
I'm sure Kijiji or something has what you are looking for. Or a pick n pull yard of some sort around you.

Welcome from Edmonton. I have a good running TBI 350 that I could remove and sell for $300. It doesn’t visibly smoke but im sure it is burning. No ticks or knocks it’s a solid runner. I just have no use for it, and I’ve got plenty of performance engines on stand by. It’s running and driving now but I have a fully machined SBC block ready to assemble for a turbocharged setup.

Not that it matters much but mine is from a 92 2500 and most of them are 4 bolt mains I’ve found but it’s not 100% and I’ve never removed the pan.

Thanks! Yes that’s the reason I offered it up, it runs too good to rip apart but I need more power! I could even toss in the computer so you could literally re gasket it and drop it in. New rings would be a good idea but then you may as well do new bearings. But don’t ask me for advice my $300 SBC turned into a $5000 turbo monster.
