New here. I'm looking at swapping my manual 60/40 bench in my RCLB 96 Silverado Z71 with a powered 60/40 from a 98 Z71.

Ive found most of the answers to my questions through search, but I have one that I can't seem to find. Is it possible to use the track from my manual seats and swap it to the powered ones? I know he ideal way would be to cut and shorten the center bracket, but I'd really like to get a little back from my old seat. It's still in okay shape, but it does have a hole and the others look new.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure I understand the question, this should be a R&R swap. You shouldn't need to cut/shorten or swap any brackets....

I swapped my 97, 60/40 manual to a set of power Tahoe seats. To keep the passengers seat, and keep the sliding seat bottom, in the passenger side, ( I have a 3 door extended cab) I used the OE seat base, from my 97, and swapped the back to the Tahoe seat. The Tahoe seats are bucket seats. The seat back was different between the 2 sets of seats. The Tahoe power seat, driver's side bolted rite in, and to my surprise, even plugged rite into my plug, and worked from the get go, with no modifications. The only thing I had to do was drill 1 hole, next to the transmission tunnel in the front, where the seat brackets, touched to floor. Of course, I built and installed a console, with a floor shifter. The back half of the console, I took out of a 2004 Tahoe, in the junk yard. The power motors, on the Tahoe seats, are mounted on the seat tracks, so, I could not reuse my OE 60/40 seats for the driver's side. The seat swap, was the easiest I have ever done. The console, is totally custom , so it was a lot more of a chore. I built all of the shifter, except the shifter handle, itself. I ordered 1 for a 1970 Chevelle SS.
