I’ll bet the Acdelco tensioner is the exact same part as the Gates. Acdelco doesn’t manufacture parts, they source and resell.

Sometimes the source is GM, but usually not. GM still makes a few things. Richard has mentioned Gates being the OEM for the tensioner. I'm not sure what his source was, maybe just observation? From what I've seen, I'd have to agree.

I do have a Gates pulley on my original tensioner, and I have a dealer idler from years ago. My original idler pulley had a brass bushing in it, and it ate itself up. The dealer replacement has a ball bearing in it.

I've tried Gates belts, but the two times I've gotten one for my truck, it's ended up being slightly long. When I buy a Dayco I get the right length belt.

I use Gates for belts and hoses; we sold them at the parts store and they were what Dad always used on our vehicles. Belt I put on Rawhide before Christmas was Gates, IIRC the tensioner and idler pulley were Murray.
Might have to get your parts person to look in the actual catalogs and not just the computer.

You can always look at the manufacturer website. If you can get here , you should be able to look up your parts on , Gates, Dayco, AC Delco, Imperial, it's not that hard. All the manufacturers have a Web presence, and any service literature, technical notes.
