Bit of a life update before project update.

Started this Monday as a safety dude at work, there is an old fella that's taking the summer off and returning in September, if he chooses. So I was able to slide on into his spot for at least three months.
So this gives me the opportunity to get my feet wet and see if it's something I really wanna do. I'm getting a bump in pay as well to learn the job, so can't complain about that. And now I will be able to work Saturdays as well, so get some OT as well. Not that I'll see any of that money, woman is sure to only give me my weekly allowance! Lol
I wrote the NCSO test last week, it was a LOT tougher than I anticipated, and was pretty worried. But found out this afternoon that I passed!!!! Woohoo!!!! Pretty f'n jazzed about that!!

Anyway, onto the truck.

Stopped at the big box everything store and picked up a few things for what I am hoping to accomplish this weekend.
Woman works Saturdays now, so that gives me a day of relatively guilt free time to work on my truck.
Going to try and sand the silver painted stripes off, and get down to the blue. Grabbed 2000 grit paper, so hopefully that will give me a bit of fudge room if I get a little heavy with the pressure.
Big 'ol can of fun mud for the tailgate. Gonna try and pound/pull out a few dents, and see if I can mud them and the handle relocator.
Been a long while since I've really played with Bondo, so looking forward to it....I think! Lol

But for this evening, gonna probably watch the Oilers lay a beating on the Lone State Stars! Lol

A big congratulations on the new work prospects, cool that you are getting a chance to try the new position out to see how it fits. :waytogo:
Thanks....been a LOT of work to get here.
Something like 18 days of courses, like 3 weeks of doing the safety audit (which they still haven't told me id it's good or not, been over a month).
And ya.... getting a really good rate to learn. Job postings for the same job, want 2 years plus of experience, for almost literally half of what I'm making!!!
Took a poopy situation and turned it into a poopy cheese burger with bacon! Lol.
I don't do salads!!!!

Edit....funky spelling!!! Lol

Only thing I did today was gas it up and take the youngest for a cruise. We put over a hundred kms on, most it's done in one shot in over four years. Ran good.

We went out to the lake a lot of my family have cabins. Got her an ice cream as of course she didn't eat before we left even though I told her too. Kids.
Anyway.... about five minutes after we started on the way home, I looked over and saw this.
Ya....she's definitely my kid!
I used to fall asleep anytime I was in a vehicle as a kid. I even fell asleep in tractors and combines with my grampa.

Maybe tomorrow I'll fart around with the truck, it was too nice today not to go for a rip.

Just spent about 15 minutes with the eraser wheel, that's because it's no longer usable. Need to get another one. Should have picked one up in the city before coming home. I highly doubt anyone in town has one and if they did, they are closed now until Monday.

Your time is almost up stripes!!!!
I hope you see what I did to your cousins!!! Lol

The silver is actually painted over top of the factory paint, so hopefully some we sanding will get rid of it. And get back to the blue.

Probably all I'm doing for the weekend, as I'm about to get ready to watch the Oilers win the first game of the four they need to raise Lord Stanley's mug!!!
And tomorrow it's time with woman in her garden.
