Yes, when I was young, a 30 year old Chevy truck looked like this. And to me, at that time, this truck may as well have been from another century.

Well, to be honest our trucks ARE from another century. By that reasoning alone, they MUST be officially old. :)

the worst thing imho about the obs name is that we have to share it with the 92-96(97) blue oval offerings because for some reason they are also called obs have heard them called a arrownose a few times but 9 times out of 10 people call them obs
They are pretty awesome trucks so I don’t mind. I sure miss my ccsb 4x4 97 powerstroke, I was lucky enough to be able to have it in 8lug and diesel power magazine.

I would have to say corvette roll pans and half assed lowered takuache 88-98s are top of my list, I really don’t like anything that doesn’t look OEM+ unless it’s a early 90s sport truck then give me all the crazy paint and billet you have!!!

Something I want to get off my chest, calling a GMT400 an 'OBS' just sounds so incredibly stupid, THEY ARE NOT OLD!!

In automotive timeline terms they are old, but that's not what bothers me. "Old body style" was used, and should still be used to mean the previous body style. Continuing to use OBS to mean a particular body style is like using the term "yesterday" to mean the date 4/29/2024 a week, a month, a year, and decades from now. Just like "yesterday", OBS should be a sliding reference.
