Truck is a 1991 ESCB, 5.7 Auto. I was looking around under the dash because the cruise doesn't work, and the reverse lights don't work, and I stumbled across this connector that's not plugged into anything. With the ignition on, both wires are nothing. There's no continuity to ground on either of them. With the key on, one of them is live, until the brakes are pressed. (brake lights function fine and as normal) When I press the brakes, both of the wires go back to nothing. Because the brake light has an effect on them, I can't help but think maybe it's cruise related, and maybe this is why my cruise doesn't function? Anybody recognize this thing? Wire colors are Purple and Brown. Thanks in advance.
