2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

I got the headlights working, though I still need to figure out the turn signal situation since this truck doesn't have the correct bumper with the built in turn signals. I think I'll put some trailer marker lamps in the grille. I also want to see if I can't make some sort of color matched...

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

I finally found myself a grille, and I got everything test fitted now. Mounting these lights to the core support looks like it'll be really easy. Everyone on the S10 forum was doubting me, calling me a hack for not getting the proper core support.

    Dad's '98 Resto

Nah, it needs 15's, 33's, a topper, 2 tone, chrome, and antenna's. After all that, I would actually drive it (Obviously my idea of style is about 30 years out of date).

Neal U Pull & Save - Peoria, IL

No, one of my buddies told me, right after taking the drivers door off this trailblazer I scoped out for him yesterday.

ALERT!!! NEAL'S IS SHUTTING DOWN THEIR U-PULL YARD!!! Apparently they were bought out, and the last day it'll be open is June 8th.

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

Nothing, they showed my the security footage, and they obviously didn't show up, so there was no way of confirming it was them (even though it 100% was). Anyways, they're never getting my business again. I guess that's just the way she goes.

Yeah, they're probably not going to give those parts up that cheap, but I think the $85 all you can carry sale is comming up.

'98 Busurban Storm Chase Vehicle Build

Maaco failed me. Even with me prepping it (I worked there at the time). Instead of spending $250 on materials and repainting it myself (I used to be/still am a body guy). I'm just going to have them do it under warranty since it was a pretty ****** place to work, and I want to stick it to the...

Neal U Pull & Save - Peoria, IL

Not quite sure, they'd probably charge me for a headlight, so I'm thinking at least $40, but tomorrow is half off day.

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

I also had a slightly crazy idea to make the rear end a little more macho looking. I was thinking about changing out the rear bumper for a chrome one off an S10 pickup. The obvious issue that that is that the bumper extensions stick out too far, but I found a pretty neat solution for that. I...

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

It's been a while, but I've done a few things with the Blazer. First off, I built myself a laptop mount for storm chasing (Helped me intercept the Minden IA EF3) I also found some nicer wheels for it (I still need to paint them, they're in primer right now). I took the headlights off the...

ALERT! We got us a set of quads! There's a missing lamp, but these things are quite hard to come by. I didn't buy them since I already got an extra set, but if someone on this forum is looking for a set I'd be willing to buy them and ship them (I think the lamp retainer is the same as a 94-97...

    GMT400s in the Movies

Wrong game, but this game looks really fun. The game I was working on is called "Tornado: Research & Rescue." Ironically I've sorta been doing this **** in real life recently. (Minden Iowa EF3)

Misfortune always hits at the worse time.

Man, that sucks, I had something similar happen in January when the body shop I worked for burned down. I lost all my tools as well (which wasn't much since I'm only 22). Also the insurance company screwed me only giving me $400 for my nearly 5k in tools. Not the end of the world though, I...

    Daily truck pics

Parked next to this really clean '95/96 ECLB c1500 yesterday. I took a quick glance at the mileage, and it's only got 74,000. Man that's a nice truck.

Ever had this happen to you? The wiper drive seems to have broken in some way.

'98 Busurban Storm Chase Vehicle Build

So I started to notice a bit of positive camber on the Burb the other day and decided to investigate. Turns out that my upper ball joints failed me after just 2 years (they're looser than the originals were before I replaced them). This premature faliure may be attributed to a few factors such...

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

Due to my bad forecasting, I managed not to ruin the blazer on this nearly 2000 mile escapade. But it did have a few minor issues. First off, the check engine light would flash due to a misfire whenever going up hill at high speed. Sounds to me like either dirty spider injectors or maybe the...

'98 Busurban Storm Chase Vehicle Build

I don't really see why one of these brackets wouldn't work? Though it's a shortcut, it seems like a pretty effective one. Could you elaborate on why it won't work? I guess drilling these bolts out and putting helicoils in it just sounds like hell to me (they're broken off below the surface)...

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

I'm ready to go ruin my mint blazer. I'm driving to NE Oklahoma tonight for tomorrow's severe storm setup (outbreak potential).

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

Yeah, I saw the videos, I like your channel. I really got to invest into a decent welder (like a Millermatic 211).

CEL, P0307. Pulled the plug and looks like oil is on my sparkplug. What would cause oil to be on sparkplugs?

With only 83,000 miles, I wouldn't think that the spark plug fouling would be due to worn piston rings (unless the original owner really didn't take care of it). I'm leaning towards dried out valve seals. Luckilly, this is a pretty doable job, the only special tool you'd need to get is a valve...

2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Daily Driver Build

Got the door jamb fixed, now all I've got to do is paint it (the welds look so nice that I don't think I'm gonna bother with any filler). I'm not this good of a welder obviously, I paid a fabrication shop to do this ($130). I also slotted the wholes on the striker in order go gain some adjustment.
