    So I gotta ask if the inner bolts on the rocker caps have a torque, I know the caps themselves don't, I do know that is 1/4 turn to 3/4 of a turn on the caps. I only ask because my caps keep walking of the studs. And I check w/ a square and the rocker studs aren't pulled. And I'm 95% sure I did...

    So I gotta ask what sealant is best for the lower intake manifold, Black (oil resistant) Red (Hi -temp), Grey (vibration and hi torque), and aluminum ( the ketup packet that came with the intake gaskets). Which would be the best for the wall. Sometimes I see red used a far bit, but wouldn't...

    Weird question, but is there a way to hook up a bypass filter to a 97 5.7 vortec? I assume it's way to overkill for an engine like that.

    Stupid question about leds a transmissions.

    So I have a stupid question, but I heard once that the leds lights can blow up ur transmission because the computer is looking for the resistance. I know the front lights would be blinding to other ppl. And of they do need a resistor, do they led lights come w/ one. And or do the actual housings...

    Well I ain't deaf ears but I'm full of dumb questions, I heard once that the leds need the restor to stop ot from blowing the transmission? Is this true and do most light fixtures come with them? I ask since the name fits, I have a 97 yukon if that helps

    So I've pulled the lifters. Nothing was chewed, only a small scratch line on an exhaust lifter. The tick was probably coming for on of the pushrods not being fully seated.     Already fixed this and no the better injectors I was talking about was the MFI spider instead of the stock 1997 spider. I just have an issue with my cam and lifters now.

    I agree, but any time you look at bearing surfaces I feel like there always bad anyway. But the tap only just started to get bad so idk. Washing it out with 0w-16 might help

    Cam is now chewed and lifter is dead, do I have to pull the engine for a cam replacement or do I just remove the radiator and condensers. Also I've read into the ls7 lifters. You can use them, apparently in 97 (and I believe lifters 2014 and down are interchangeable) they designed their lifters...

    Pretty sure, it's central to the block, can't really hear above the bay, but in the fenders you can.

    Gaydies and lentlemen I have fix the back fire issu with a new cap n rotor and an o2 sensor, however I have some totally nice lifter tick that needs to be fixed, who are reliable makers of lifters?
