    I got the dust shields on today. I'll try to get the pictures in the next day or two. I had to drill one hole a little bigger, but they fit and look great.

    FYI they don't fit. But now we know. Ok...scratch that. I went back out, looked again and they will fit. But I'll probably have to drill one of the bolt holes out as it is about 1/8" off. That's no big deal for the cost difference. So these do fit my 92 silverado c1500 RWD. Now I just need to...

    1990 C1500 ABS (RWAL) removal.

    I took a picture with the rotor on and no brake shield. The rotor is on top and knuckle on bottom. The red is the metal of the seal and the black rubber is partially exposed. That's about a 1/4" to 3/8" gap. Enough for something to get caught and possibly rub/cut/wear the rubber on the busing...

    1990 C1500 ABS (RWAL) removal.

    Yeah, if it was just the rotors it would be one thing. I'll let everyone know how the shields fit. There is a gap between the knuckle and the back of the rotor where part of the bearing seal is exposed. It seems like the shield fills that gap.

    I don't know. I feel like the shields help protect the bearing seal. Probably just in my head. I did end up going with just the shields w/out sensors.

    Have my 92 Silverado 1500 apart for a full rebuild. Have suspension back together and am going to do this. I have to get new dust plates. Am I correct in assuming we no longer need ABS sensors if we do this mod? It's a $40 difference in parts. Thanks.

    Rock auto has them. Called ABS Wheel Speed Sensors. Approx $40 a piece. $100 or so shipped. I am working on this now and am trying to decide if I just need th plates (listed under 92 Suburban C1500) or the abs sensors as well.

    What year is your truck? Rockauto has them...probably. For my 92 C1500 pick up they are listed as ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, not brake dust shields. TOok me awhile to find them. If you don't have ABS, they may have that option for cheaper.

    Will these fit the pickups? When I looked on Rock auto, all they had for the pickup were the ones with the sensors for approx. $40 a piece. These look like the same shield though.
