    Welp, got a doner.

Like 455s in the back? Man mine are stock 373 with 35's, a 4L80 and a stock converter. It drags already.

    Welp, got a doner.

Hey L31, I remember you saying this before in another post. It's because of the rpm range where it makes power right? I wonder about camming it first then. I need to change some stuff anyway, like oil pan gasket and other seals. It will be torn into before going into my 96. I guess Inhavent ton...

    Welp, got a doner.

Thanks for the info man. The donor has a 60 and my truck has an 80 so I'm going to try and adapt the lm7 to the tranny I have. They're both 4x4 though. My buddy keeps telling me I can just pull the harness from the donor and run that, but not sure how to do that. Are you saying just write an...

    Welp, got a doner.

Hey all, Buddy donated an 01 Burban with a 5.3 to me and I'm super stoked. I've got a 96 sierra with a 0411 and was wondering what I'd need for the swap. So far I know I'll need a ac compressor relocation bracket, but where to get? I'm guessing I'll need to relocate the alternator as well...

    Cold acceleration stumble/hesitation

Temp sensor is accurate and fuel pressure was checked as well. Meets spec.

    Cold acceleration stumble/hesitation

Got a similar issue on my 96. It's got new cap and rotor, wires, plugs, pcv, fuel filter and pump (good pressure), new IAC, new TPS. These are just parts I replaced over the past year. It only does it when cold, but after that it purrs. I'm not getting any codes either.

    Stalling/Hesitation When cold

Hey man, did you ever figure out what caused your issue? I've been having something similar happen to my 96. It hesitates when I give it any good amount of throttle when cold. After it warms up, it purrs.

    Top end build worth it?

I would change the lifters if they've got high mileage on them since you're opening her up. I believe the springs are really dependent on the lift of the cam. The more aggressive cams need stronger/stiffer springs so that your valves don't float at higher rpms. Also heard of stock springs...

    Best cold air intake?

The closed box design is what really sold me man. The stock setup is actually a good one. Just the tubing and filter could be improved. Enter the volant. Do it!

    Running a heavier oil

My engine seems to be happy with rotella t6 15w40. Been running it a while with no issues.

    Welp I screwed something up.

I didn't have two choices from where I purchased and I didn't know that was the case. I bought it from Yukon and that was the ONLY one they had for my rear end. I called and spoke to their tech support before installing as well asking about the length and two hole setup and they gave me their...

    Welp I screwed something up.

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply. It turned out to be the pin. It was way too long. I'm almost wondering if the hole for the retaining bolt was located incorrectly as well, because to me, sticking out of the carrier a 1/4" or more is excessive. I looked at it with an inspection mirror and at...

    Best cold air intake?

Well, I have the volant 15957 on order. Hopefully it fits right. Not sure why, but then picture on Amazon shows a different year vehicle. Are theses somewhat universal? You guys totally talked me into too lol. I kid you not, I bought and returned it twice before reading some of the posts here...

    Welp I screwed something up.

Hey guys, Tore into my rear yesterday to replace the axle seals, c clips, and cross pin. Took the cover off, rotated assembly to get to the bolt, removed bolt and pin, rotated again to get access to c clips, removed axles, replaced seals, reinserted axles, installed clips, had to rotate...
